2022-11-22MSRS 2022 Annual General MeetingThe 2022 AGM of the Maritime Silk Road Society was held on 22 November to adopt the minutes of 2021 AGM and to receive the 2020-2021 reports of the Executive Committee. As in the previous two years, the AGM was held in both online and onsite mode due to the continued COVID-19 pandemic.

2022-03-15MSRS Volunteers Participated in the "YouAndMe" Campaign to Distribute Anti-COVID PacksIn March, MSRS volunteers participated in the Youth Anti-Coronavirus Link’s “Young Family Support” campaign, to assist in packaging and distributing anti-pandemic materials to families in need. MSRS member and LegCo Member Ms Judy Chan of the New People’s Party joined in the action plan.

2021-09-20Dr Johnny Hon Spoke on “Exploring Future Opportunities”On 20 September, Dr Johnny Hon, Chairman Emeritus of Global Group, Vice President of New People’s Party, Honorary Advisor of MSRS made a presentation on “Exploring Future Opportunities”. Dr Hon spoke on how the application of new technology: blockchain, neurotechnology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Extended Reality (XR), and Internet of Things (IoT), could help business capitalize on the opportunities.

2021-07-05"Maritime Silk Road" 2021 Chinese Language Summer Course organized in GreeceIn the summer of 2021, MSRS and Lefkada City again jointly organized the "Maritime Silk Road" Chinese Language Summer Course on 5 - 30 July. The course took place in Lefkada, Greece, in purpose to facilitate exchange through introduction of Chinese language and culture.

2021-01-15Turkish Consul General Hosted Webinar on Middle Corridor and B&ROn 15 January, Mr Peyami Kalyoncu, the Consul General of Turkey, hosted a webinar for MSRS to introduce the latest developments in Turkey's economy, enterprising and foreign policy, Asia Anew Initiative, scholarships programme, as well as its role in the Middle Corridor and the “Belt and Road”.

2020-03-17Medical Items Urgently Needed to Fight Against COVID-19!To help fight against COVID-19, the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Hong Kong and Macao is making a plea for donation of medical items. MSRS has contributed 5,000 surgical masks as an initial support.
