MSRS and Intercultural Institute of Lefkada Jointly Organized Chinese Summer Classes

For the 7th consecutive year, the summer school of Chinese language courses "Maritime Silk Road" operated in Lefkada, Greece. The Maritime Silk Road Society and the Intercultural Institute of Lefkada joined forces to promote the learning of the Chinese language, which is evolving into an important tool in the global job market and opens the door to an ancient and rich culture.
For seven weeks starting from mid-June, teenage and adult students attended simple Chinese lessons from the book Kuaile Hanyu 1 with Professor Xuejiao Liu. As part of the courses, workshops were held on Chinese calligraphy and traditional Chinese fan making. The courses would continue in the winter for those interested in attending.
On 31 July, 2025, the graduation ceremony for the students took place, followed by a dinner with traditional Chinese noodles. The next goal of the Chinese programme is to organize an educational-cultural trip to China.
