5-Day Rocket Launch Viewing Tour in Wenchang, Hainan

The “5-Day Rocket Launch Viewing Tour in Wenchang, Hainan” organized by the Maritime Silk Road Society (MSRS) was held on 2-6 November. Twenty-four participants took an evening flight to Haikou and a coach ride to Wenchang.
On the second day, the delegation visited the Wenchang Aerospace Center and Hainan Aerospace Breeding Center to learn about China’s aerospace history, development and breeding technology.
After dinner, the delegation arrived at Longlou Town, one of the most iconic filming spot of the famous TV drama You Are My Glory to watch the rocket launch. At 22:54, the “Long March 7A” carrier rocket officially launched.
On the way to Sanya on the third day, the tour visited the China (Hainan) South China Sea Museum. The Museum is the major project of the Hainan province in response to the “Belt and Road” Initiative, exhibiting various displays on the humanity and history, ecology, underwater archaeology and preservation of South China Sea and the evolution of Maritime Silk Road.
After lunch, the delegation visited Yalong Bay Tropic Paradise Forest Park. Participants appreciated the coastline and cityscape of Sanya. They then visited a villa which was an iconic filming location of the renowned movie If You Are the One 2.
The delegation continued its journey on the fourth day at the Paddy Field National Park to have a deeper understanding on China’s paddy rice agriculture, seedling technology and its development. The National Park is China’s first demonstration zone for agritourism to promote China’s agricultural civilization to the globe.
After lunch, the delegation visited Ocean Flower Island in Danzhou to watch the sunset and the light show after dinner. The delegation spent the night there.
On the fifth day, the delegation tried the local dessert Ching Bo Leung at the Haikou arcaded streets before returning to Hong Kong.
