Exploring Artificial Intelligence: “ChatGPT”

On 7 July, the Maritime Silk Road Society organized the “Exploring Artificial Intelligence: ChatGPT” seminar with Mr Chris Shum, Co-Founder of Asiabots as the speaker.
Firstly, Mr Shum introduced the development history and operation mode of AI technology in details. He used a timeline to show the development of AI technology from 1950 to 2017 and mind maps to clearly explain the learning and application mode of AI technology. Later, he cited different types of AI technology products or services in the market, for presenting participants with multi-faceted and diversified development and application of AI. He also pointed out the AI technology products or services that may be applied in daily life and introduced some popular AI technology tools and briefly described their advantages and disadvantages for different technical aspects and needs. Finally, Mr Shum demonstrated how to use ChatGPT, invited participants to prompt questions to assess the output of ChatGPT, and reminded them of the points to note for using ChatGPT.
During the seminar, the participants actively asked questions about the topic, and the atmosphere was lively.
