MSRS visited Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce

2020-09-17

The Maritime Silk Road Society (MSRS) visited the Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce (SRCIC) and its Hong Kong Art Central Business District (ACBD) in Central on 17 September. Mr Alex Wong, CEO of MSRS, introduced the Society's operation and discussed possible cooperation with the SRCIC.

Mr Sun Liming, Vice Chairman of the SRCIC, introduced that members of the SRCIC were mainly from the chambers of commerce of the Belt and Road countries. It is the first international business confederation named after the Silk Road. At the meeting, MSRS explored opportunities for cooperation with the SRCIC to promote cultural exchanges in academics, education, religion, and art between Hong Kong and the countries along the "Belt and Road".

Mr Sun continued to introduce the history of Tang West Market (Da Tang Xi Shi) which is located in Xi'an of Shaanxi Province. With its prosperous market system and solid economic foundation, it supported the Silk Road trade system. Da Tang Xi Shi is literally the true starting point of the Silk Road.
