Mr Alex Wong Gave Presentation at SCMP Classified Post HR Conference 2017

The South China Morning Post (SCMP) organized the Classified Post HR Conference 2017 on 15 June with the participation of more than 150 business leaders and HR professionals to discuss the vision to reinvigorate their companies through better talent acquisition, management and planning.
During the conference, Mr Alex Wong, CEO of the Maritime Silk Road Society, took part in a panel discussion in the morning session and gave a presentation entitled “Belt & Road - Challenges and Opportunities for the Hong Kong Workforce” in the afternoon.
Mr Wong reckoned that under the nation’s “Belt and Road Initiative”, Hong Kong should strengthen its position as the region’s premier trade and logistic hub to strive for opportunities that would allow international or regional mechanisms created and led by China to be headquartered in Hong Kong. Based on the “One Country, Two Systems” arrangement accorded to it and its position as an international financial centre, Hong Kong holds an irreplaceable edge over other areas of the country and plays a unique role in the Belt and Road Initiative. Since the launch of the Initiative, more and more mainland enterprises, especially private enterprises, are keen to take advantage of Hong Kong as the bridgehead for outward investment and expansion.
