MSRS participated in "Guangdong-HK Mutual Digital Certificate Pilot Scheme Exchange Meeting"

On Friday, 17 March, Mr. Alex Wong, Chief Executive Officer of Maritime Silk Road Society (MSRS) attended the "Guangdong-Hong Kong Mutual Digital Certificate Pilot Scheme Exchange Meeting" organized by Guangdong Southern E-commerce Innovation Service Center, Guangdong Cross-border E-commerce Industry Association, and The Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong Smart City Industrial Committee. The meeting summed up the state of Guangdong-Hong Kong Mutual Certificate's application development, and explored how to realize further expansion and facilitation of mutual certification in the 21st Century's commercial environment, such as cross-border e-commerce, cross-border education, cross-border medical treatment, and cross-border financing etc., including constructing a trusted online cross-border system, as well as establishing and demonstrating cross-border e-commerce for countries along the "Belt and Road". Other organizations at the meeting included Hong Kong Public Key Infrastructure Forum, Hong Kong Computer Society, Belt and Road Blockchain Consortium, Lingnan University and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation.

In the afternoon, participants briefed the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's Office of the Government Chief Information Officer of the meeting's conclusion, outlook and direction for future development. MSRS will take part actively in relevant activities, and promote deeper understanding among young people on 21st Century cross-border commerce and the opportunities brought about by cross-border commerce on the "Belt and Road" platform.
