MSRS Visited Tencent’s Shenzhen Corporate Exhibition Hall

On 13 January, the Maritime Silk Road Society (MSRS) visited Tencent’s Corporate Exhibition Hall located at Binhai Tower, Shenzhen. Participants consisted of young members of MSRS and Dr Michael Liu, Sha Tin District Council Member.
The event featured a guided tour of the exhibition hall, which was rich in content, covering Tencent's founding history, the development of the internet, and the great popularity of WeChat. It showcased the widespread use of Tencent's equipment in industries such as manufacturing, business, music, literature, film and television, archaeology, and rescue, etc. The most interesting parts of the tour included the simulated live streaming room, the Dunhuang digital reality experience, and the full-motion flight simulator visual system.
Participants expressed their delight at having the opportunity to be received by a world-leading technology company to explore the allure of technology and ignite the sparks of innovation among young people.
