2025-12-12
On 12 December, the Maritime Silk Road Society (MSRS) and the Silk Road Economic Development Research Center jointly organized a luncheon sharing on “Understanding AI applications, digital literacy and its implications” hosted by Mr Rex Ma, Co-founder of iGen6; Hon. President, Asia Pacific Creativity Industries Association; Charter President, Hong Kong International Innovation & Entrepreneurship Institute. Oriental Patron Investment Management Limited was the venue sponsor of the activity.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is a rapidly evolving field that is reshaping industries, enhancing daily life, and driving innovation. Given the breadth and depth of AI applications, understanding AI ethics is crucial to ensuring AI technologies are developed and deployed responsibly, minimizing harm while maximizing societal benefits. Mr Rex Ma, an expert in cultural creativity and digital transformation, introduced the development and application domains of AI during the talk. He shared his seven core principles for scientifically building cultural creativity brands—Trust, Communication, Simplicity, Form, Prompt, Literacy, and Marketing—analyzing how practitioners can construct brand communication strategies with a global perspective.
Mr Ma not only introduced the core functions and applicable scenarios of various AI platforms but also conducted vivid hands-on demonstrations. Using “how to quickly generate a personal resume” as an example, he showcased how to efficiently utilize AI tools to assist in completing professional tasks. He further emphasized that in the AI era, enhancing public digital literacy is key to embracing change and enabling technology to truly empower individuals and society.
Finally, Mr Ma reminded attendees to fact-check when using AI to guard against fraud by unscrupulous individuals, and to never share unverified or potentially false information.
