MSRS Organized Visit to the Exhibition Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the War of Resistance

On 28 August, the Maritime Silk Road Society organized a visit to the exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of victory in the war of resistance with a theme on remembering history and cherishing peace. The exhibition aimed to showcase the indomitable spirit and unwavering resolve of the people during the War of Resistance against Japan, helping citizens remember this period of history more profoundly. Through 570 photographs, 400 meters of display panels, and 50,000 words of textual materials, the exhibition recounted the historical stories of the War of Resistance era, allowing visitors to personally experience the hardships endured during those turbulent times.
Organized by the Hong Kong Ta Kung Wen Wei Media Group, the exhibition was divided into four zones. (1) For national liberation and world peace, from the 18 September Incident to the Marco Polo Bridge Incident, and on to the turning point of victory in the War of Resistance. (2) Blood is Thicker Than Water: Hong Kong and Macao’s War of Resistance Chapter highlighting Hong Kong’s role in the War of Resistance: the Eighth Route Army Hong Kong Office, the League for the Defense of China, and the secret rescue operations of the Hong Kong-Kowloon Brigade. (3) War-time archives and photo spots of Ta Kung Pao. (4) Ye Qianyu Cartoon Zone, depicting the nation’s blood and tears through the lines of drawings.
The exhibition also features an interactive zone, through which visitors can express their gratitude and respect to the brave heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.
