“Islamic Culture Exploration: What are the Interesting Facts About Ramadan?”

Maritime Silk Road Society (MSRS) organized a lecture on "Exploring Islamic Culture: How much do you know about Ramadan?" on 18 April, with Kasim Ma Fung Wai, Chairman of I.U. Da’wah Committee, as the guest speaker. The activity took place at Masjid Ammar & O.R. Sadick Islamic Centre at Oi Kwan Road in Wan Chai.

First of all, Mr Alex Wong, CEO of MSRS, presented a certificate of appreciation and a donation cheque to Kasim Ma. Then, Kasim Ma gave souvenirs to MSRS in return. Secondly, Kasim Ma delivered the lecture in a vivid and humorous manner, introducing the origin, purpose and significance of Ramadan, describing the daily activities of believers during the month, such as fasting and kneeling, and the physical and mental benefits of fasting. During the lecture, the participants also actively asked questions. After the lecture, Kasim Ma arranged an Iftar meal for the enjoyment of the participants. He then led the participants to observe the prayer process of the believers. Finally, the participants enjoyed an Iftar meal with a lot of discussions.
