Roar Out Your Talent - Year of the Tiger Lunar New Year Design Competition Successfully Concluded

Co-organized by the Maritime Silk Road Society (MSRS) and Silk Road Economic Development Research Center, the Roar Out Your Talent - Year of the Tiger Lunar New Year Design Competition concluded successfully. The Competition attracted numerous entrants from different countries and regions, including countries such as UK, Canada, South Korea, Libya, Singapore, etc. This competition is composed of three categories, namely Emoticon Sticker Design, Creative Chinese Calligraphy Design-Chinese Character Fu (福) and Red Packet Design for both Child and Adult Group.

The organizing committee comprised of Mrs Regina Ip and Mr Bernard Chan, Co-Chairs of Maritime Silk Road Society, and Mr Joseph Chan, Chairman of Silk Road Economic Development Research Center. Supporting organizations included The Education Bureau and Centre of National History Education (Hong Kong).

Prof Lee Chack Fan, Director of the Jao Tsung-I Petite Ecole at the University of Hong Kong; Ms Kai-Yin Lo, world-renowned Jewellery and Accessories Designer & Cultural Consultant; Dr Chan Man-hung, Director of One Belt One Road Research Institute of the Chu Hai College of Higher Education; and Prof Alice Chiu, Co-founder of Sheen Hok Charitable Foundation were invited as members of the judging panel.

Winning entries were chosen by the judging panel at the nomination of the working task force. Due to the continuation of the pandemic, winners will be informed by email and will receive electronic gift cards as prizes. Click here for the winners list.

Maritime Silk Road Society and Silk Road Economic Development Research Center have always been focusing on Hong Kong’s development as a key role in Belt and Road Initiative and dedicated to offering their full support by proactively holding and participating in various related events.
