MSRS Volunteers Participated in “Young Family Support” Campaign 2.0

Maritime Silk Road Society (MSRS) continued to participate in the “Young Family Support” campaign 2.0 organized by the "Youth Anti-Coronavirus Link" (“Link”). The anti-COVID material packages distribution activity was held from 26 to 27 March. MSRS is one of the 80+ supporting groups.

Phase II operation was escalated to expand the number of beneficiaries, families with children and young people who are affected by the pandemic. The anti-COVID packages were distributed to 50,000 persons in total. About 1,000 volunteers participated in the operation. They stationed in some 100 distribution points across the territory to help registered persons to collect the supplies.

MSRS volunteers went to the Kowloon Bay International Trade & Exhibition Centre to assist with packaging on 26 March. They also went to Aoi Pui School in Hung Hom on 27 March to distribute the anti-COVD packages to people and families in need. LegCo Member and the Chairman of Hong Kong United Youth Association, Mr Kenneth Leung Yuk-wai, visited the school to boost the morale of MSRS volunteers.
