Mr Alex Wong Spoke on Opportunities and Challenges for Hong Kong Youth under BRI

On 15 April, upon Hang Seng University of Hong Kong’s invitation, Mr Alex Wong, CEO of MSRS gave an online presentation titled “Opportunities and Challenges for Hong Kong Youth under the Belt and Road Initiative” to students who are interested in the development of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

To strengthen students’ understanding of BRI, Mr Wong explained the background of BRI in a comprehensive way, including key routes, layouts, framework ideas, and priorities for cooperation. In addition, Mr Wong cited the participation of various regions in China and Hong Kong in BRI. He used the China Merchants Group as an example to explain how state-owned enterprises could expand their overseas business through the “Belt and Road” framework. Young people are encouraged to seize the opportunities brought about by BRI, take advantage of their own competitive edges, and seek developmental opportunities in the two major development directions of entrepreneurship and employment. When teenagers face challenges, Mr Wong encouraged them to maintain a positive attitude and adjust their mentality in resolving their difficulties. Summing up the presentation, Mr Wong and the host introduced different summer internship positions, hoping that students of Hang Seng University of Hong Kong can seize the opportunity to make their summer vacation more fruitful and meaningful.
