Modern Islamic Cultural Exploration Held through Webinar for the First Time
The latest Arabic Language and Modern Islamic Cultural Exploration series, organized by MSRS, has started on 25 March. It is the first time that the event is conducted both in a face to face mode as well as real-time online mode to response to the outbreak of COVID-19. Participants meet every Wednesday for four consecutive weeks to learn about Arabic Language letter forms, writing and pronunciation; social customs of Arabic; the development of Arabic Language and Islam; in addition to Expo 2020 Dubai, which is due to run from October to April, and may be postponed because of COVID-19.
Islamic culture holds a decisive position among the countries in the “Belt and Road” regions. More than 30 countries are under the strong influence of Muslim culture in areas such as politics, society, economy, culture, and international relations. Course tutor Mr Mohammed Wong vividly introduced the Arabic world with real-life objects such as food, clothing and books, which let participants understand the importance of Islamic culture.
