Fujian Quanzhou Cultural Tour Photo Competition
The Maritime Silk Road Society held a ceremony on 20 April to present awards to the winners of the Fujian Quanzhou – Maritime Silk Road Cultural Tour Photo Competition.
As part of the Cultural Tour (25-29 March), a photo competition was organized for students to share their experiences from the visit by uploading photos to their Instagram pages. The judging panel included Mrs Regina Ip, Co-Chair of the Maritime Silk Road Society; Mr Roland Wong, Vice-Chair (Development) of the Youth Opportunities Committee (YOC); and Ms Eunice Yung, Vice-Chair (Administration) of YOC.
Based on the number of Instagram photo likes obtained by the entrants, the aesthetic value and the caption submitted, the judges selected one top winner and four subsidiary winners. The top winner is Ms Kwok Hoi Yan, and the four subsidiary winners are Ms Law Shuk Fun, Ms Ng Tsz Wing, Ms Chau Sze Nga and Ms Cheng Wat Kwan.
“I am satisfied with the number and quality of photos submitted. The winners are well-deserved since their photos are reflections on the diversities of the trip,” Mr Roland Wong, the officiating guest at the presentation ceremony, said.
