Guided tour on "To See a World in a Grain of Sand: Ancient Maritime and Overland Trade"
2016-08-18
On 18 August, around 30 members of the Maritime Silk Road Society, and students and alumni of the Savantas Liberal Arts Academy joined a guided tour on "To See a World in a Grain of Sand: Ancient Maritime and Overland Trade".
The exhibition was held at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum with an aim to provide a chance for participants to better understand the maritime and land routes of the Silk Road, and the fascinating cross-cultural exchanges on art and culture across China, Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
Despite the rainy day, the participants enjoyed the interesting stories of exhibits and a sharing with Mr Richard Wesley, Museum Director, and Dr Libby Chan, Senior Curator.
