“Bauhinia Award” - Hospitable Hong Kong Remarkable Business Contribution Award Ceremony

At the invitation of CNC Holdings Limited, Mrs Regina Ip, Co-Chair of the Maritime Silk Road Society, attended the 2016 “Bauhinia Award” Hospitable Hong Kong Remarkable Business Contribution Awards Ceremony on 10 August. At the ceremony, she presented the “Public Energy & Infrastructure Services - Golden Bauhinia Award” to Mr K W Pang, Executive Vice President of Hong Kong Nicaragua Canal Development Investment Co., Ltd.

The company is a privately-held international infrastructure development firm headquartered in Hong Kong and with offices in Managua, the capital of Nicaragua. It has been granted the sole right to develop Nicaragua Grand Canal project which comprises construction of the 276 km long transoceanic canal between the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. As an extension strategy of "21st Century Maritime Silk Road", Nicaragua transoceanic Grand Canal will effectively link up the two most economically developed circles, the Pacific Rim and the Atlantic Rim, so as to advance the interconnection of global trade.
