Young people always wish to walk around the world before their youth is gone. It is always a good time for people to enjoy the view of this world in teenager, when their bodies still have that abilities, when they still have time in their lives, when they still have not bear so many heavy burdens. However, young people also need to plan their future pathways. They need to gain working experience as much as possible before they graduate, just to avoid the uncomfortable of future life after leaving their universities. Life is not an Easter egg and we can't meet many wishes at the same time in our lives. Fortunately, there is an eclectic solution to meet the "wants " and " needs" in youth, which called overseas internship.

In a time which supposed to sparkle the brightness of youth, I chose to sweat in Myanmar under my summer holiday, under Sule Shangri-La. Food & Beverage Division, Rooms Division and every streets in Yangon were the places where I have left my marks on. I have been given two month memories which have been painted in the colour of Myanmar. The Internship was unexpected, it was sudden, it made me excited, and it made me nervous. With such complicated feelings in my mind, I started my two months oversea internship.

Two months of memories are so messy and enriching. The oily smell in kitchen, the noise in restaurant, the crowd in wet markets, the seriousness under office, the manager who walked around in hotel’s public area, the peaceful environment in Florist Department, the elegance of the receptionist, and the lazy or bustling city hunt in Myanmar under my off days….. Everything has been killing two months too fast. When I was having a part-time job in Hong Kong, I felt the time was passing too slow. When I was having the internship in Myanmar, I felt the time was passing too quick. Another interesting phenomenon I experienced in Myanmar was learning to adapt being a “famous” person under the entire hotel. I was the new-comer of the hotel, therefore all of the colleagues paid much more attentions and cares on me. At every step of the hotel, there always had some colleagues, some people I know and some people I do not know, smiles and chatted with me. Although I may still cannot remember the name of each of my colleague after I finished this internship, although their face may gradually become blurred after I leaved the hotel, those two months experience is one my most precious memory in my life.

Before I went to Myanmar, I thought this internship was just a little episode of my youth and the words written in my resume is all the thing I can get. The day I left Myanmar, after I have been able to collect my thoughts under this two months, I know that I will be grateful to myself for taking this internship opportunity. Not because of the working experience stated in my resume, but a simply thanks to myself for sparkling the brightness of youth in the right time and the right place.
