Exploration on Islamic Culture and Arabic Language

The Exploration on Islamic Culture and Arabic Language, organized by MSRS, has started on 7 May. Participants meet every Tuesday for four consecutive weeks to learn about economic development of the Arabic world, including Saudi Vision 2030 and post-war reconstruction in Syria; customs of Islamic countries such as Saudi Arabia and Pakistan; in addition to fundamentals of Arabic language.
Since its introduction to China in the Tang Dynasty, Islam as a religion started to take root. Among some 60 countries along the “Belt and Road” regions, more than 30 countries are under the strong influence of Muslim culture in areas such as politics, society, economy, culture, and international relations. Course tutor Mr Mohammed Wong vividly introduced the Arabic world with real-life objects such as nibbles and clothing, which let participants quickly grasp foreign concepts.
