The awards presentation ceremony for the video competition on Greater Bay Area, organized by Centum Charitas Foundation and Hong Kong Culture Association with Maritime Silk Road Society (MSRS) and CTY 100 as co-organizers, was held at Hong Kong Red Cross Headquarters on 24 November. After an assessment by a professional judging panel, the champions, the first runners-up, the second runners-up and other merit winners were presented with awards and MSRS Cups for their outstanding entries from Secondary School Division and Youth Open Division.

The ceremony was officiated by Mr Kevin Yeung Yun-hung, Secretary for Education; Mrs Regina Ip, Co-Chair of MSRS; Mr Yang Cheng Wei, Deputy Director-General, Department of Youth Affairs, Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR; Mr Ivan Wong, Deputy Chairman of Centum Charitas Foundation; Miss Chloe Suen, Deputy Chairman of Hong Kong Culture Association; and Mr Kwok Yat Ming, CEO of CTY100.       “In line with the development of the nation’s Belt and Road Initiative, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macau will play an important role. I encourage Hong Kong young people, whether they are traveling, studying, working or starting up a business, to go to the Greater Bay Area. They will broaden their horizons in order to grasp the developmental opportunities of the Belt and Road Initiative,” Mrs Regina Ip addressed.

“The MSRS Cups are presented to encourage young people to have a better understanding of the Belt and Road Initiative. Furthermore, the trophy winners will be able to participate in a cultural exploration tour on the legacy of Guangzhou ancient port to be organized by MSRS in next January for youths to learn about the culture along the maritime silk road,” Mrs Ip said.
