MSRS Attended the Kick-off Ceremony of the “Ancient Silk Road Mysteries” TV Documentary

Mr Alex Wong, CEO of Maritime Silk Road Society (MSRS), was invited to attend the kick-off ceremony of a mega TV documentary “Ancient Silk Road Mysteries” on 19 August in Urumqi, Xinjiang. The documentary, featuring 10 episodes, will be shot in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region to explore the history and secrets of the Silk Road from the perspectives of various ethnic minorities.
Speaking at the welcoming dinner held in honour of the production team, Mr Shohrat Zakir, Chairman and Deputy Party Secretary of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region said, “Xinjiang is the core of the Silk Road Economic Belt just as Hong Kong is an integral part of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road”.
The Regional Government will render full support to the film production which is anticipated to significantly promote the nation’s “Belt and Road Initiative” and introduce the culture of the Silk Road. MSRS will also explore possibilities in publicizing the documentary upon its completion.
